Writing And Submitting Articles

Article writing and submission is one of the most effective ways to market your e-books and your reports online. When you are writing your articles, you are not directly promoting your e-books themselves (as you would do on E-book Directories), rather you are writing about the content of the e-book itself. Article writing can be one of the most viral components of your marketing strategies if you write good and interesting articles.

Articles should never be used as a salespage. You want to write an article that is content filled and show yourself to be the expert on the topic. You can add your squeeze page URL your blog URL or your website URL in the "resource box" of the article site so that people can be redirected to your website if they believe your article content is worth checking out further. You don't need to be an expert on the content of your e-book, just make yourself sound like one. Articles shouldn't be too lengthy...just 100-500 words is plenty.

Well written articles will provide you with more backlinks to your websites or blogs which will increase your search engine optimization...so try writing and submitting a couple of articles each day. Many marketers will tell you that ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com are the ones to focus on, but I've had a lot of activity and success with some of the other article directories so check them out for yourself and determine what works best for you.
Article writing can be a bit boring and an extremely tedious task to submit to several different article sites. There's a nifty little tool
called the "Article Submitter" and you can pick up a free trial copy at Submit Suite. This software will submit your article to several
different article directories at one time. Since many directories won't
pickup your article, the more submissions you may the more likely
your article is to get picked up by several article directory sites.

Important Points To Remember When Writing An Article:

The obvious...don't write boring articles. Articles in themselves can be
pretty dull and boring so work on making your articles as interesting as
possible. If you want people to look twice at your articles...make them good.

If you've got 800 words of more in you for the topic, then instead of writing
                    one big article break it down into 2 parts and submit it as "Subject-Part I"
                    and then again later as "Subject-Part 2". This will give you twice the
                    punch and power with your articles.

Don't write long drug-on sentences with difficult language and wording.
                    You'll lose your readers! Long and hard to understand sentences make
                    your readers leave faster than you can say "wait-a-minute". Use short
                    sentences with easy to understand words.

You may want to use some bullet points in your articles to break things
down. Bullet points make your article easy to follow and read.

Add a little of your own personality to your articles. Make them yours
                    by adding some of your personality and personal experience into your
                    topics. This will make your articles much more interested and people
                    reading them will get a good feel about you and want to read more of
                    your articles.

Use your keywords in your article title and your article body. Creating an
                    article is just like baking a cake. If you leave out one of the most important
                    ingredients in your cake recipe, your cake will fail. The same is true with
                    article writing. If you want your article to succeed and get found and used
                    by others, you need to use good keywords. It's usually best to use more
                    long-tail keywords rather than highly competitive shorter keywords. You
                    want to find a phrase that is highly relevant to your product or website yet
                    is not overly competitive.

Write a good resource box. Your resource box for your article is your
                    author's biography. Although some sites may allow you to place contextual
                    links to your website in the body of your article, many will not. With many
                    article directories the only source you have to get readers and visitors back
                    to your website is in your resource box. Try to be creative when you write
                    your resource boxes and add one of more links back to your website.
